I’m Alan Paulson, the owner and lead carpenter behind every project.

After graduating from the Wood Technics program at Western Technical College, I spent several years working with respected contractors before launching my own general contracting business.

For 13 years, I built custom homes from the ground up, gaining a deep understanding of every phase of residential construction.

That experience eventually led me to serve as a residential building inspector and later as a carpentry instructor at Western Technical College — the same program I once attended.

These roles sharpened my attention to detail, knowledge of building codes, and appreciation for doing the job right the first time.

I founded Choice Home Solutions to meet a growing need in the La Crosse area: homeowners looking for a reliable professional who can handle a wide range of interior remodeling projects — from large renovations to small upgrades.
